Anyways, it’s Sunday which means it’s Six for Sunday! Six for Sunday is Hosted by A Little But A Lot and this week’s prompt is your favorite color! I have to admit, black is my favorite color. I am a goth at heart and 99% of my wardrobe consists of shades of black. But for this prompt I decided to go with my second favorite color: Green. There’s lots of books running around with black covers but today I wanted to share some of my favorite green covers. Some of the books here I have read and others are still on my ever growing TBR pile.
The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid
Super excited to read this one. It’s outside of my normal genres that I read but it sounds amazing and I’m interested to see if it lives up to the hype for me.
The Testaments by Margaret Atwood
I loved reading this last year. I thought it was a great continuation and closure to Gilead and the world Atwood created. I highly recommend reading this one of you enjoyed The Handmaid’s Tale.
The Ghosts of Sherwood by Carrie Vaughn
I’m really excited to read this retelling/continuation of the Robin Hood stories/legend. I grew up reading Robin Hood stories and I love the idea of the story continuing with his heirs.
A Song of Wraiths and Ruin by Roseanne A. Brown
I have heard nothing but amazing things about this one and I can’t wait to read it!
The Last of August by Brittany Cavallaro
I love the Charlotte Holmes series and it is by far my favorite Sherlock Holmes retellings.
Green River, Running Red by Ann Rule
I don’t read a lot of true crime but most of the true crime books I’ve read have been about Pacific Northwest serial killers which makes sense, given that’s where I’ve lived most of my life. Ann Rule is also a fantastic author and does an amazing job telling the stories of the victims respectfully and meaningfully.
