Hello lovelies! I hope everyone is having a great week so far!
Yesterday I made a trip to my recently re-opened bookstore! I miss working desperately but it’ll still be a while before I’ll be able to head back to work. In the meantime though it’s been really nice to browse the new layout and discover new books!
With my trip yesterday I came home with 1 graphic novel and 6 books!

A couple of weeks ago my B&N Exclusive Edition of The Steel Prince: The Rebel Army came in the mail but sadly it was damaged. So I had my bookstore order a replacement and I got to pick it up yesterday! I’m super excited to read the final volume in this series and I’m even going to (try to) host a read-a-thon of all three volumes of Steel Prince over on one of the instagram pages I run! I’ll be posting about it soon over on @veschwabfeatures if you want to check it out and join in!

Now for the books!
I’m really excited to read all of the books I picked up but I am MOST excited for Mexican Gothic by Silvia Moreno-Garcia. I keep hearing such amazing things about this one and I cannot wait to start it! (Once I catch up on my NetGalley arcs that is…)

I also picked up Riot Baby by Tochi Onyebuchi and Trouble the Saints by Alaya Dawn Johnson, both from Tor Publishing.
Science Fiction isn’t a genre I read often and I’ve really enjoyed branching out this year by reading more Romance so I’m hoping I’ll also enjoy branching out and reading more Science Fiction as well. Plus both of these sound absolutely amazing!

Finally I picked up three Young Adult books:
Forest of Souls by Lori . Lee

We Are Totally Normal by Rahul Kanakia

and An Affair of Poisons by Addie Thorley

I’m really excited for all of these, especially We Are Totally Normal. It seems like it’ll be a book I could have used 10 years ago.

That’s it for today!

Mexican Gothic was SO good! I hope you enjoy it just as much as I did when I read it earlier this month.
