Top Lists

Top Ten Tuesday: July 14th, 2020

Hello lovelies!

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and this week’s prompt is books that make you smile!

My list is in no particular order.

Gideon the Ninth

Gideon absolutely destroyed me but it also made me smile, and laugh and that almost made up for all the sobbing.

Bringing Down the Duke

This was one of the first romance novels I read ever and I just adored it. The second book in this series comes out later this year and I’ll probably reread this one before reading that one.

A Question of Holmes

I love this series so much and this was the prefect ending if you ask me. Charlotte and Jamie are a wonderful duo and I loved their book ending.

City of Ghosts

I loved ghosts stories when I was younger and this would have been the prefect book for me back then. I still really loved this one even as an adult and if you like history and ghost stories I highly recommend this one.

A Darker Shade of Magic

A Darker Shade final for Irene
This is my favorite series and I love so much about it, but I love Lila Bard the most. And I love reading about her doing whatever she wants to and even when she starts a fight her sarcasm and wit never fail to make me smile.

Boyfriend Material

I just recently finished this one and absolutely loved it. I related so much to Luc and the story was fun and the characters interesting. I’ll be posting a review soon!

The Testaments

This might seem an odd one for this list but I really enjoyed this one and I even smiled a few times reading it. This was such a great conclusion to the world of Gilead and its well worth a read.

Red, White & Royal Blue

This was the first romance novel I ever read and it was just so perfect. I loved the characters and the plot. I’ve read it twice now and I’m sure I’ll read it again.

Heist Society

I love art. I’m an art historian. Returning stolen art is a much debated topic in the art world. It shouldn’t be but it is. I love this series because it’s a bunch of teens returning art to the people it was stolen from. I am 100% here for it.

Between Mia and Mr. Kindly how can you not smile while reading this? I’ve also never read anything quite like this series and I love it for that very reason (among several others).
