Hello lovelies!
It’s been a long time since I did one of these posts but today I’m really happy to share with you my love for Third Place Books in Seattle, WA!

Third Place Books has three locations in the Seattle area:
Lake Forest Park (Pictured above)

While I was living is Seattle I only made it to the Lake Forest Park location. It was the closest location to my apartment and it is also the location that hosted two of my favorite authors during my time in Seattle: Marie Lu and V.E. Schwab.

I got to meet Marie Lu in September 2017 while she was touring to promote Warcross. I was so excited to meet her because Legend, the first book by her that I read, was the book that got me back into reading. During college I had all but given up reading for fun but I took a break from school in 2013 and during that time I read Legend when one of my new co-workers recommended it to me. It literally changed my life and I was so happy to be able to Meet Marie Lu and thank her.

Then in a year later in September 2018 I got to meet V.E. Schwab for the second time, while she was on tour promoting Vengeful.

I had also met Schwab at Third Place Books back in 2017 when she was touring to promote A Conjuring of Light.
I Love V.E. Schwab and her books. They have had a huge impact on my life and it’s always wonderful to hear her talk about her books. Meeting her in 2018 was especially wonderful because, much to my surprise, she knew who I was!
Needless to say that was one of the best days ever.
Also, shameless plug: Schwab recognized me because over on Instagram I run @adsomfeatures where I feature other bookstagrammers photos of all of her books. It’s a small account but I love it. I also host giveaways from time to time as well, generally when a new book is released. Feel free to check it out if you like!

Meeting both of these authors, whose books mean so much to me, was amazing and Third Place Books will always be special to me for allowing me to meet them. But I also love this book store because it feels warm and welcoming. The staff is always wonderful and there’s something comforting in wondering the aisles and truly browsing for books.

If you’re ever in the Seattle area be sure to drop by one of their locations! Both Lake Forest Park and Ravenna are open under limited hours and Seward Park in doing curbside pick up, though it is closed to the public at the moment. You can check their websites for all the details!
