Top Lists

Top Ten Tuesday: June 23rd, 2020

Hello lovelies! How are you all doing? Sorry for being MIA for the last week or so. It’s been a rough few days, weeks, months and it all just caught up with me. But I’m slowly getting back into the swing of things and I’ve even managed to get some reading done!

Now, on to Top Ten Tuesday! TTT is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and this week we had a couple of prompts to choose from and I decided to pick a past TTT topic and post about it! So for this week I decided to do a topic from 2018: Bookish Worlds you Would and Would Not want to live in! I picked 5 worlds I would want to live in and 5 I would not.

Want to live in:

Red London, from A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab

A Darker Shade final for Irene
I would do anything for Red London to be real and to be able to live there.

The Ninth House, from Gideon the Ninth by Tamsyn Muir

Honestly while I never had a goth phase I’m a little goth at heart and I’d love to live in the Ninth House and fully embrace the goth life style.

Crescent City, from House of Earth and Blood by Sarah J. Maas

I’m actually kinda surprised I put this one on the list. But I really did enjoy this book and Crescent City sounds like a fun, albeit dangerous place to live.

Rivendell, from The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien

Who doesn’t want to live in Rivendell? Why WOULDN’T you want to live in Rivendell?

Camp Half-blood, from Percy Jackson and the Olympians by Rick Riordan

the-lightning-thief
I really love Camp Half-Blood and I really just want to go there for summer camp and hang out and fight myological monsters.

Do NOT want to live in:

District 12, from The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins

Would any of us want to live in District 12 before the rebellion? I know wouldn’t.

The Republic, from Legend by Marie Lu

The Republic is one of my favorite dystopian settings and this was one of the first dystopian series I had read so while I’d never want to live there it does hold a special place in my bookish heart.

Verity, from This Savage Song by V.E. Schwab

23299512
Verity is ruled by monsters and the mob boss who controls them. No thank you.

Godsgrave, from The Nevernight Chronicles by Jay Kristoff

I love these books. I love these characters. I wouldn’t last a week in this world.

Merit, from Vicious by V.E. Schwab

ec9bde0f-15b0-46b2-a40f-c56ae1399816-15313-00000313f082e1f0
I love this world Schwab created. It’s one of my favorite series. But I wouldn’t last a week between Victor, Eli and Marcella running around.
