Hello lovelies! For this week’s spot light I’m talking about one of my biggest regrets ever when I’ve traveled abroad.
Three years ago I was wandering around London on my first trip to the city. It was amazing. I’d been to The Tower of London and taken the tube to the British Museum and even got my picture taken at Platform 9 3/4.

It was a whirlwind trip; I was only in London for 2.5 days as part of a tour group. And for those 2.5 days I only had 1 full day to myself in the city. I’d wanted to go to Tate Modern, the V&A, brave my fear of heights and take a ride on the London Eye, but there’s only so much you can do in a day. I don’t regret that I didn’t make it to those places and experiences, but I do regret not going to the British Library.
I mean look at it:

It’s a book lover’s paradise.

I’m sure I could spend a month wandering its stacks and still never see it all.
And now with COVID-19 it’s doors are temporarily closed to the public.
Despite it’s closure however many of the libraries resources are available online and I highly encourage you to check them out!
My favorite portion of their website is their online exhibitions. You can learn about so many things including some of my favorites:
Art and Anarchy in British Comics

If you’re looking for a good way to spend an afternoon exploring the library’s website is a great rabbit hole to fall into.
Next time I’m in London, come hell or high water, I’ll be taking a trip to the library.
