WWW Wednesday: April 15th, 2020

Hello lovlies!

WWW Wednesday is a book meme hosted by Sam @ Taking on a world of Words. This is my second week participating in WWW Wednesday. Last week I found some great blogs to follow and I’m looking forward to discovering more this week!

For WWW Wednesday you answer the following three questions:

  1. What are you currently reading?
  2. What did you recently finish reading?
  3. What do you plan on reading next?

What are you currently reading?

Yesterday I started Girl Crushed  by Katie Heaney. I’m excited to read this one and apprehensive about it as well. At first glance it seems like the kind of book I needed when I was in high school, but I’ve also heard a lot about the author’s Bi-phobia and how that has made its way into this book. As someone who has, and continues to struggle with their sexuality, I’m always looking for books I can see myself in and that I can then recommend to my customers who are also looking to find themselves. I’m not sure this book will be that, but I’m waiting to finish it before forming any concrete opinions.

What did you recently finish reading?

Yesterday I finished reading Dark Skies by Danielle Jensen. I won’t say much here but this one was a fun read and I’m looking forward to the rest of the series! I’ll be posting a full review here soon!

What are you planning on reading next?

Up next I plan on reading Recipe for Persuasion by Sonali Dev. I’m very much looking forward to reading this one! I’m just dipping into the world of Romance and a Jane Austen retelling seems like a perfect place to start! I’m also very excited that this retelling features main characters of color who are written by an author of color.

I hope you guys are having a good week thus far! I can’t wait to read your own WWW Wednesday posts!

*All of these books were provided to me as a digital advance reader copy through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
